FEATURED ARTIST    State of Mind originally formed in 1994 by 4 friends who wanted to play music. We wrote our first original song "Wardance" the very first day we practiced. So we continued to do just that. Our influences are old school hard Rock and metal. Dio, Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Queensryche plus many more!! We named the band State of Mind because that's what music is, and what music comes from. Our songs are written to shine a light into people's darkness. To give hope and understanding to those who are lost in the dark. With our hard hitting rock and metal tunes, to our dark balads, John Ferris, turns the pages of his own life with every song. Addiction, heartbreak, self reflection, and life are the inner demons that we all keep. We want our music to reach everyone and maybe heal something inside. After a break, we knew we had to give State of Mind back to the world!! State of Mind is, founding members, Robbie Grossheim who writes the music and John Ferris lyricist and vocals teaming up with some of the best musicians in the area, John Cook/ leads, Kenny Thomas/bass and Kenny Starnes/drums.
